What is a prophet?

Prophet is the bond that links between God and the words of his to the audience, .The Prophet bears the word of God and transmits it word for the people.

prophet

There are two types of prophecies that we could see the prophet tells:
First, prophecies which tells us a catastrophe that will come- those predictions with a negative content, about a sin, whether an individual, whether a whole. Also, those prophecies contain the sin itself and later the punishment, the consequences of sin!
Second, the prophecy of comfort – with the contents of these prophecies encourages, about a better future, they usually appear after the punishment already causing offender and his punishment began.
On the prophet law that appears in Deuteronomy18:15-22, the prophet should be like Moses in his loyalty to God and also in terms of people’s attention to him. Prophecy in Israel started with the people of Israel asking God, after the covenant in Sinai. Someone asked people to communicate with him and not die, God responded to the request. A prophet who does not speak the words of God is a false prophet – according to the study. Therefore, this kind of “prophet” will pay the price of his life. An example of this power can be raised when Hananiah Ben azur that told the people of Judah a different reality in order to be lovely by his audience and to harm the Prophet Jeremiah. Therefore, at the end of the chapter is punished with death.
