What the shepherd gives to his sheep?

As we discussed last time, we saw that The Lord is saving us, his sheep , his people, and give us the security. Today we are going to see the influence on his sheep as written in psalm 23:2-4

“He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leaded me beside the still waters. He restored my soul; He guided me in straight paths for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me; {N} Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me”

The shepherd will enable his people to lie down, in a place when there is a grass, when the fruits of justice are growing, in a place when there is no fear from drought – there is water around!

grass

The soul of the sheep, meaning the people will be back to God and this is a clue that this psalm has been written in the exile, when the people of Israel didn’t have the shepherd to lead them, after the homecoming to the promise land there will be a new path, road to the people- the way of justice, as Metallica wrote: “and justice for all”

staff

The way back will be dangerous, seemingly, but The Lord with his road and staff will save the people of Israel, they will feel comfortable to come back.

I hope that all the people of the world will come back to the justice…!
