In the belly of the whale, God showed Jonah the history of the people of Israel especially all the events that relate to water. The eyes of the fish were the mirror that showed him the real picture, the reality of the acts of God.
The first was off course the crossing of the sea after the exodus from Egypt, crossing the Red sea. Jonah needed to understand that the sea couldn’t be a place that he can run away from The Almighty-this is not his refuge.
The sea is one of the foundations of the earth, this is the place when wars with God started and ended, so no one, include Jonah, could win in this war, except God.
In the sea we also have the abyss and the netherworld- more sights that Jonah saw in order to understand the end of your destiny you need to understand what happened in the beginning!
Well, my friends, when you are going to the ocean next time think about Jonah in the belly of the whale, the water is the best answer to the one who ponder; this is the only place that the belief could be flowing and clear!
