For over 160 million years, from the late Triassic period (160 million years ago) until the end of the Cretaceous period (about 65 million years ago), the dinosaurs ruled the Earth.

The Old Testament was written in a period between approximately 1400 B.C. to approximately 400 B.C. There is a contradiction here, because as it seems, the dinosaurs were created long before the Bible was written. One explanation is that G-d created the world all over again. Before the new creation of the world, there was chaos, as mentioned in Genesis 1:2:
“Now the earth was unformed and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters.”
What does the Bible say about Dinosaurs? Are the Dinosaurs mentioned in the Bible?
There are a number of places where it appears that dinosaurs, or other similar creatures are mentioned in the Bible. The bible does not say anything directly about dinosaurs .The word “dinosaur” is not mentioned even once in the Bible (It was coined only in 1842). However, similar words: “dragon” or “sea monster” (in Hebrew: Tanin) are mentioned over 20 times in the Old Testament. One example for the word dragon can be found in The Book of Jeremiah 51:34-
”Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath devoured me, he hath crushed me, he hath set me down as an empty vessel, he hath swallowed me up like a dragon, he hath filled his maw with my delicacies; he hath washed me clean.”
Next time we will see more occurrences of the sea monsters in the bible and also in the book of Enoch.
