When I am read the beginning of every book in The Scriptures, I am trying to look for the first verse that will impress me and cause me to imagine the time when the story had been written. In the book of Micah, the beginning is so exciting that I must share my feelings with you, dear readers!
Let us look at the beautiful verses in Micah1:1-4-
“The word of the LORD that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem. Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the LORD from his holy temple. For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth. And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.”

Micah is asking from the people of this beautiful planet to listen together with the earth to the movement of G-d from his place. From his place in the heavens, G-d will touch the land that he created, while all the mountains, the hills and the valleys are molten by this meeting. This meeting reminded me some movies of Spielberg, Lucas and other directors from the last years.

And what about you, which movie does the passage from Micah remind you of when you read the text? Share your thoughts with us here or on our Facebook fan pages. Have a blessed week, yours truly, Eli
