As a Biblical Hebrew teacher, who lives in the Promised Land, I can tell you that we are praying a lot to change the weather, due to the lack of water in the Sea of Galilee. Sometimes people forget that according to The Scriptures there’s a reason for the lack of water. Even if you don’t agree with the next verses, you must read them, as written:
“When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain, because they have sinned against You, and they pray toward this place and confess Your name and turn from their sin when You afflict them, then hear in heaven and forgive the sin of Your servants and of Your people Israel, indeed, teach them the good way in which they should walk. And send rain on Your land, which You have given Your people for an inheritance.”(1 Kings 8:35-36)
Imagine Solomon the king with his mighty hands; all the people of Israel surround him, and he explained the m what the function of the temple is. If they would pray for G-d – they won’t have the same problem as the Northern Kingdom had in the days of King Ahab (see 1 Kings 17-18).

The importance of a new covenant
The book of Jeremiah has one of the most important texts for the nations of this world- the text about the new covenant between G-d and his people. Though that the words relate only to the people of Israel, a lot of us, people of this planet were inspired by these words, as we can read in Jeremiah 31:30-33-
“The days are coming,” declares the LORD,” when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to them declares the LORD.” This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the LORD. “I will put my law in their minds and write t on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the LORD,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the LORD. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”
